Lama Lodu Rinpoche Thanks Craig and Deborah Janke for their Service to KDK
All of the KDK Sangha Members know that Deborah and Craig Janke has served as President and Secretary for more than twenty years. During this time, their Body Speech and Mind is nothing other than KDK. They've taken serious responsibility in KDK's activities and worked hard in every detail.
In February of this year before I left for India, Craig was undergoing serious eye surgery and it was very difficult for them to participate in KDK activities. They requested that they could resign their positions and let other people to learn these responsibilites.
It is very heart-breaking for me to announce they are resigning from the positions of President and Secretary of KDK. It was shocking for me to hear their request, so I asked them to please maintain things until I returned from India. I told them I had to discuss this with His Eminence Kalu Rinpoche, and they accepted my request, even though they have such difficult conditions with their health and the large number of responsibilities to run KDK. I am very fortunate to have such loyal individuals around me. When I returned, my knee was a little bit uncomfortable and many KDK things happened one after another, and until this time I was not able to release them as I continued to rely on their assistance. However, the next meeting on Thursday, July 29th is the last meeting they will participate in as President and Secretary. They will continue as advisors to the Board to help the newcomers, per my request.
For the last twenty years, they have contributed verbally, mentally and materially to KDK, especially for my own personal welfare. I will say thank you, but I feel this is not enough to truly appreciate their kindess and generosity.
